Europe-based payment solutions provider Sentenial has joined the Natural Security Alliance, the company has announced. Moreover, it’s adopting the Natural Security standard for its Nuapay system.
Nuapay is a cloud-based solution posited as a replacement of payments using credit transfer or cheque-based systems. It’s aimed at businesses of all sizes and can function in 34 different countries in the Single Euro Payments Area. The Natural Security Alliance, meanwhile, is a cross-industry conglomerate seeking to establish authentication standards built around biometrics in conjunction with personal devices. It’s a natural fit, with the Natural Security standard ensuring a high-level security baseline for Nuapay, which in turn should prove reassuring to clients throughout Europe.
In a statement, Natural Security Alliance CEO Cédric Hozanne said that Sentenial’s adoption of the standard “confirms the operational readiness of our authentication standard and its suitability for making all electronic transactions possible”, while Sentenial CCO Brian Hanrahan said the company’s joining Natural Security “cements Sentenial’s position as an innovator in payment processing by introducing direct debit transaction at the point of sale.’’ As payments increasingly go online and face the security threats emerging in the digital domain, the adoption of this standard could prove vital in promoting Sentenial’s Nuapay.
